글로벌선진학교GVCS는 현 설립이사장인 남진석 목사를 중심으로 기독교적 교육철학에 따라 21세기의 세계화 추세에 걸 맞는 인재를 양성하기 위하여 2003년 한국의 음성, 2011년 문경에 현대적인 캠퍼스를 조성하고 영어몰입교육 및 주요과목 영어사용수업, 제2외국어교육강화(중국어, 스페인어, 일본어, 독일어), 전교생 태권도 의무교육(최고 3단 취득), 정서교육강화 차원의 1인1악기 예능교육, 전교생 스포츠클럽 의무가입, 해외연수 강화 등 차별화된 교육을 통하여 글로벌 소통능력이 뛰어난 인재 양성을 해오고 있다. 현재 양 캠퍼스에 1,000여명의 학생들이 재학 중에 있으며 미국의 아이비 리그와 상위권 대학은 물론 전 세계의 유수대학과 한국 내 명문대학에 학생들을 진학시키고 있다.

매년마다 선교사 자녀와 목회자 자녀, 제3세계 청소년, 경제적 소외가정 자녀, 탈북자녀 등을 선발하여 일부 또는 전부의 장학금을 지원함으로써 교육선교에 적극 기여하고 있다.

이번에 미국 펜실베니아주 챔버스버그에 위치한 기숙사학교를 활용하여 2014년 가을에는 시범운영, 2015년 가을부터 정규개교를 하게 됨으로 미국 내에서 미국교육의 장점과 한국교육의 장점을 융합시킨 이상적인 국제화 교육의 터전을 마련하게 되었다. 이를 통하여 미주한국동포사회의 교육적 요구를 충족시킬 수 있게 되었으며 한국을 비롯한 외국인에게도 질 높은 한국형 글로벌 교육을 가능하게 하는 계기를 마련하게 되었다.

Lead by the current founding president, Jean Seok Nam, Global Vision Christian School (GVCS) established campuses at Eumsung in 2003, and Mungyung in 2011 based on school’s philosophy of Christian education to cultivate leaders for globalized society of 21st century. GVCS is cultivating leaders with global communication skills through distinguished education programs such as intensive English language program, English only classes, foreign language education (Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, German), Taekwondo training for the whole student body (2nd or 3rd degree black belt), fine arts program that trains individual student to play at least one musical instrument, sports clubs activities and study abroad programs. About 1,000 students are currently enrolled at Eumsung and Mungyung campuses and we have graduates matriculated to Ivy League universities and high-ranking colleges in the United States. Furthermore, our alumni are attending prestigious colleges all around the world as well as top universities in Korea.

GVCS is contributing to education mission by offering partial and full scholarships annually to children of missionaries, pastors, 3rd world country families, economically weak families, and North Korean defectors.

Utilizing boarding school facilities at Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and starting model operation in the Fall of 2014 as well as regular operation in the Fall of 2015, GVCS found a place for an ideal global education that combines the best of both Korean and American education. As a result, we have found an opportunity to provide a quality globalized education to Korean-Americans as well as Korean and foreign students.
